Windfall Lake Project, Quebec Canada

Chibougamau Mining District at Windfall Lake
Windfall Lake Project Profile
Location:
Chibougamau Mining District in Urban Township (Abitibi Region), Quebec

Minerals:
Gold

Summary:
This project currently covers two adjacent claim blocks (1,440 hectares) of which Noront holds a 100% interest.

Advanced drilling (over 200 holes to date) has outlined a number of high grade gold zones at various depths including 4.8 meters of 52.3 ounces per ton of gold.

The Company and its engineers have designed and permitted an exploration ramp (4.5 meter diameter) to bulk sample some of these zones. The ramp will greatly enhance the geological understanding of the mineralized system and allow the Company to formalize a resource estimate.

The exploration ramp and construction is currently underway as of January 2008.

Significant visible gold has been observed as the ramp proceeds to additional zones with exceptional samples at Zone 17. See Windfall Lake's Exploration Ramp Progress (in PDF) and sample image below right under Mineral Previews.
